SAFFLON is a cationic softener used to impart pleasing, non – greasy and silky feel to cotton as well as synthetic fabrics.
Unlike the other products SAFFLON is very economical in use. It is preferable to use this softener from a long liquor bath at a pH of about 3.5. The compatibility of SAFFLON should be checked when required to use along with other products. This is essential because of the cationic nature of this softener.
The general recommendations for the use of SAFFLON are as follows:
i.40gms/ltr to 50 gms/ltr with about 80% mangle pick up on the mangle for cotton and cellulosic fabrics.
ii 30 gms/ltr to 35 gms/ltr with about 70% mangle pick up for the art silk fabrics.
iii. 2.5% to 3% on the weight of the material for the cotton and their blended yarns.

Non Ionic Softener is used straight as a softening agent gives fullness and luster to the synthetic fabrics. About 1.5% to 2.5% of liquid form product on the weight of the fabric is usually found to be adequate.
Generally a concentration of 30 Gms/Ltr. to 40 Gms/Ltr with the mangle expression around 80% is very widely used.
If applied in the jigger a concentration of about 25 Gms/Ltr is recommended.
A concentration of 2% to 3% on the weight of the material is used for cotton and blended yarns.
